There were 180 clashes at the front: where the fiercest fighting took place

Over the past 24 hours, 180 combat clashes have occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The hottest situation remains in the Pokrov direction.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 08:00 on July 18.

The enemy launched one missile and 72 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, using two missiles and dropping 137 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it carried out 5,892 attacks, 95 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 3,442 kamikaze drones to destroy them.

Air strikes were carried out, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Okip, Borshchova, Vovchansk, Chuhunivka in the Kharkiv region; Bilogirya, Stepnohirsk in the Zaporizhia region; and Olhivka in the Kherson region.

Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile troops, and artillery have struck two areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, a UAV control point, an air defense system, an artillery system, and another important target of the Russian invaders.

In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, 21 combat clashes took place over the past 24 hours. In addition, the enemy carried out 18 air strikes, dropping 29 guided bombs, and also carried out 356 shelling of the positions of our troops and settlements, including six from multiple launch rocket systems.

In the South Slobozhansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 10 enemy attacks near the settlements of Vovchansk, Zelene, and Starytsia.

Four attacks by the invaders took place in the Kupyansk direction. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Kupyansk, Zeleny Gay, Nova Kruglyakivka and in the direction of Pishchanye.

In the Lymansky direction, the enemy attacked 30 times, trying to advance near the settlements of Novoyehorivka, Hrekivka, Karpivka, Zelena Dolyna, Kolodyazi, Serebryanka and towards Novy Mir, Korovy Yar, Sredny, Torsky and Shandryholovy.

In the Siversky direction, our defenders repelled six assaults by occupation forces near Hryhorivka and Viyimka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, 13 clashes were recorded in the areas of the settlements of Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bila Hora, and Predtechyne.

In the Torets direction, the enemy carried out nine attacks near Shcherbinivka, Oleksandro-Kalynovye, Petrivka, Rusyny Yar, and in the direction of Pleshchiivka and Katerynivka.

In the Pokrovske direction, our defenders stopped 61 assaults by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Poltavka, Popiv Yar, Rodynske, Novotoretske, Myrolyubivka, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Zvirovo, Udachne, Muravka, Oleksiivka, Dachne and in the direction of Pokrovska, Myrnograd, Volodymyrivka and Novopavlivka.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces stopped 17 enemy attempts to break through the defensive lines in the areas of the settlements of Piddubne, Zirka, Temyrivka, Myrne, Voskresenka, Vilne Pole, Shevchenko, and Zelene Pole.

In the Orikhiv direction last day, the Defense Forces successfully stopped one enemy assault near the settlement of Mala Tokmachka.

The enemy did not carry out any offensive actions in the Hulyaipil and Prydniprovsk directions over the past day.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
