There were 200 clashes at the front: where the enemy attacked the most

Over the past 24 hours, 200 combat clashes have occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The hottest situation remains in the Pokrov direction.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 08:00 on October 8.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out one missile and 82 air strikes, used one missile, dropped 177 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out 5,012 attacks, including 168 from multiple rocket launcher systems, and engaged 6,159 kamikaze drones to destroy them.

The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Zaliznychne and Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhia region; Zelenodolsk in Dnipropetrovsk region; and Sadovoe in Kherson region.

Yesterday, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile troops, and artillery struck three areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, one electronic warfare station, one radar station, three warehouses, and another important enemy target.

In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven Russian attacks. The enemy launched seven air strikes, dropped a total of 10 guided bombs, and carried out 198 artillery attacks, including eight from multiple launch rocket systems.

Over the past day, 29 clashes occurred in the Yuzhno-Slobozhansk direction in the areas of Vovchansk, Vovchanskiye Khutor, Tykhy, Ambarny, Kamyanka, Bologivka, Zapadny, Krasny Pershy, Dovhenky, and towards Kolodyazny, Dvorichansky, and Kutkivka.

Eight attacks by the invaders were recorded in the Kupyansk direction. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions near Kupyansk and towards Petropavlivka, Novoplatonivka, Pishchane, and Stepova Novoselivka.

In the Lymansky direction, the enemy attacked 12 times, trying to advance near the settlements of Seredne, Shandrygolovye, Novoselivka, Derylove, Karpivka, and Torske.

In the Siversky direction, the aggressor attacked near Yampol, Hryhorivka, Viyimka, and Serebryanka. In total, 11 clashes occurred over the past day.

The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Kramatorsk direction.

In the Torets direction, the enemy carried out 18 attacks in the areas of Oleksandro-Shultyny, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyny Yar, and Poltavka.

In the Pokrovsky direction, our defenders stopped 46 attacks by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Nykanorivka, Sukhetske, Myrolyubivka, Nove Shakhove, Ivanivka, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Myrnograd, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka, Horikhove, Dachne, Filiya and in the direction of Novopavlivka and Balahan.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 32 enemy assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Zaporizhia, Oleksandrograd, Sichneve, Novoselivka, Novogeorgievka, Sosnivka, Vorone, Kalynivske, Novohrygorivka, Voskresenka, Oleksiivka, Stepove, Piddubne, Berezove, Novoivanivka.

In the Hulyaipil direction, 11 combat clashes were recorded near Poltavka and Malynivka.

There were eight combat clashes in the Orikhiv direction – the enemy tried to advance near Plavni, Stepovoye, and in the direction of Stepnohirsk and Novoandriyevka.

In the Dnieper direction, Ukrainian units repelled three enemy attacks.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
