The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information as of 8 a.m. on February 16, 2026 regarding the Russian invasion.
The defense forces continue to repel the occupiers’ attempts to advance, disrupt their plans and inflict significant losses on the enemy on various sections of the front. In total , 235 combat clashes were recorded over the past 24 hours.
Yesterday, the enemy carried out one missile attack using one missile and 79 air strikes, dropped 224 guided bombs. In addition, it used 4,757 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,387 attacks on settlements and positions of our troops, including 121 from multiple rocket launchers.
The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular on the areas of the settlements of Novoukrainka, Velykymykhaylivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Hulyaipilske, Zaliznychne, Dolynka, Hryhorivka, Zarichne, Yuliivka, Malynivka, Girke and Blakytne. Over the past day, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces hit one important enemy target.
In the North Slobozhansk and Kursk directions over the past day, the enemy carried out 143 attacks, four of which involved the use of MLRS. Six clashes were recorded during the day.
In the South Slobozhansk direction, the enemy tried four times to break through the defensive lines of our defenders in the areas of the settlements of Veterinarne, Vovchanski Khutory, and Okhrimivka.
In the Kupyansk direction, one clash took place yesterday in the Pishchane area.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked six times. He tried to penetrate our defenses in the areas of the settlements of Stavky, Drobysheve, Druzhelyubivka, and Lyman.
In the Slavyansk direction, during the past 24 hours, our defenders stopped eight attempts by the occupiers to advance towards Yampol, Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and Dronivka.
No offensive actions by the occupiers were recorded in the Kramatorsk direction.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 28 attacks near the settlements of Kostyantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Ivanopillya, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, Mykolaypillya, Novopavlivka, Stepanivka, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 63 assault actions of the aggressor near the settlements of Toretske, Kucheriv Yar, Bilytske, Zatyshok, Rodynske, Shevchenko, Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Novopidhorodne, Novopavlivka, Novomykolaivka, Filiya, Dachne and Serhiivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked 21 times. They tried to advance towards Zeleny Gay, Ivanivka, Oleksandrovka, Yehorivka, Vyshneve, Oleksiivka, Verbovye, Stepovye, Danylovka, Novy Zaporizhzhia, Zlagoda, and Rybne.
In the Hulyaipil direction, there were 37 attacks by the invaders – in the areas of Hulyaipil and towards Dobropil, Uspenivka, Varvarivka, Pryluky, Zaliznychne, Staroukrainka, Zeleny and Krynychne.
In the Orikhiv direction, the aggressor conducted active offensive actions in the directions of Stepnohirsk, Pavlivka, Lukyanivs’ke, and Shcherbaky.
No clashes were recorded in the Prydniprovs’kyi direction.
No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
Ukrainian defenders continue the systematic destruction of the enemy, putting up effective resistance on all sections of the front.
By the way, in total, the losses of the Russian invaders over the past day amounted to 1,180 people . The enemy also lost four tanks, five armored combat vehicles, 26 artillery systems, one air defense system, 601 unmanned aerial vehicles, and 169 units of automotive equipment.
