The Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the advance of the Russian occupiers. Terrorists continue to kill Ukrainians, destroy Ukrainian cities and villages. The total number of combat clashes is currently 77.
This is stated in the construction of the General Staff.
Today, the communities of the settlements of Novovasilovka, Belaya Bereza, Starikovoe, Gorki, Doroshevka, Kruzhok, Shalygino in Sumy Oblast; Zhelezny Most, Orlikovka in Chernihiv Oblast suffered from enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Severo-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Ukrainian soldiers repelled two enemy attacks today, two more clashes are ongoing. The invaders’ aircraft carried out three strikes, dropping seven guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy carried out 76 shellings of our troops’ positions and populated areas, including six from multiple launch rocket systems. At the same time, Ukrainian units carried out active actions and had success in certain areas.
In the South Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attack continues in the Volchansk area.
In the Kupyansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled one attack in the Mirny area.
In the Liman direction, today the invading army has carried out five attacks on Ukrainian positions in the areas of the settlements of Kolodets, Torskoye, and also in the direction of Shandrigolovoe – four combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Seversky direction, Russian units twice attempted to advance on the positions of our troops in the areas of Grigorovka and Vyemka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy carried out offensive actions three times in the areas of Minkovka, Stupochki and Bondarny.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attempted to penetrate our defenses five times in the areas of Toretsk, Pleshcheyevka, Shcherbinovka and Poltavka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian occupiers have made 31 attempts to push our soldiers from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Rodinskoye, Mirolyubovka, Luch, Zverevoye, Kotlino, Udachnoye, Novopodgorodnoye, Dachnoye, Novoukrainka and in the direction of Toretskoye, Novoekonomichesky, Novopavlovskoye. The defense forces are holding back the pressure and have already repelled 25 attacks.
In the Novopavlovskoye direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 11 assault actions by enemy troops, and six more clashes are ongoing. The enemy is trying to advance in the areas of the populated areas of Zeleny Gai, Maleyevka, Novogorovka, Zelenoe Pole, Zaporizhzhya, Obratnoye, Olgovskoye, Poltavka.
The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Gulyai-Polye and Orekhov directions.
In the Dnieper direction, Ukrainian units repelled two attacks by the invader towards the Antonovsky Bridge. The enemy launched air strikes on the settlement of Nikolaevka.
