Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said the country is preparing for a potential attack from Croatia, Albania and Kosovo, adding that Belgrade is closely monitoring military cooperation between the countries.
This was reported by Anadolu Agency .
Vucic said that the country’s authorities are preparing for a possible development of events.
“They are waiting for the right moment. We are preparing for their attack,” said Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
He also recalled the trilateral declaration on defense cooperation, signed in Tirana on March 18, 2025 by Croatia, Albania, and Kosovo. According to Vučić, the document provides for enhanced security cooperation and increased interoperability of the armed forces.
Commenting on Serbia’s defense potential, Vučić stated that the country has modern Chinese-made weapons systems.
“We have Chinese hypersonic air-to-surface missiles with a range of up to 400 kilometers,” said Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
He also noted that Serbia maintains good relations with NATO, while adhering to a policy of military neutrality.
Separately, Vucic accused Croatia of attempting to undermine the situation in Serbia over the past 1.5 years and of interfering in the country’s internal affairs.
The Serbian President’s statements came against the backdrop of ongoing discussions on security policy in the Western Balkans, where military modernization processes have intensified in recent years and political tensions are growing.
