They escaped from the army and committed a double murder: two soldiers of the Northern Front were detained in the Zhytomyr region
In Zhytomyr region, police detained two men who left a military unit without permission and are suspected of committing a double murder in Kharkiv region. The court has chosen for them a preventive measure in the form of detention.

According to law enforcement, the men were found in the city of Korosten, where they were hiding after leaving a military unit in early January. The arrest took place on March 8 with the involvement of KORD special forces and the rapid response group.
During searches of their residences, law enforcement officers seized an assault rifle, an assault rifle with magazines, and 174 rounds of ammunition. The weapons were sent for expert examination.
Investigators informed the detainees of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. By court decision, they were placed in custody as a preventive measure.
Law enforcement officers also determined that the detainees may be involved in a double murder in the Kharkiv region. The bodies of two men with signs of violent death were found in a utility room in the Chuhuiv district. One of the deceased was considered missing since January, the other was a serviceman of the Ukrainian State Military University, who also left the military unit without permission.
Investigators in the Kharkiv region have charged two men with suspicion under Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article carries a penalty of up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.
It was previously reported that in Zaporizhia, a police officer used a service firearm during an attack on patrol officers . The incident resulted in the death of a man who, according to law enforcement officials, turned out to be a serviceman who had voluntarily left the military unit.
