Former head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak was taken from the pre-trial detention center on May 18 by security guards who had previously been seen at state events attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Journalists claim that some of these men previously worked in state security.

According to journalists, the three guards who arrived at the pre-trial detention center for Andriy Yermak worked for the state security service a few months ago. At least one of them guarded the president of Ukraine for a long time.
Journalists identified one of the men as Andriy Servetnyk. According to media reports, he was last seen at events attended by Volodymyr Zelenskyy in August 2025 during a prayer breakfast.
Journalists contacted Andriy Servetnyk and asked if he worked for the State Security Service. According to “Slidstva.Info”, the man replied that he was a student at the university. When asked whether he had picked up Andriy Yermak from the pre-trial detention center, the interlocutor did not answer and hung up.
The journalists named Volodymyr Chirochko as the second bodyguard. According to media reports, in April 2022, he accompanied Andriy Yermak during Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to Bucha.
Journalists also noticed Volodymyr Chirochko in photographs during Zelenskyy and Yermak’s trip to the Kherson region after the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station in June 2023. In addition, he was seen in March 2025 during negotiations by the Ukrainian delegation in Saudi Arabia.
According to journalists, in February 2026, Volodymyr Chirochko was also spotted near Andriy Yermak’s office in the basement of the Palace of Sports in central Kyiv after he left his position in the President’s Office.
The journalists did not identify the third bodyguard. At the same time, “Slidstvi.Info” noted that the man also appeared in photographs with Volodymyr Zelensky and Andriy Yermak. The last such photographs, according to media reports, date back to the end of 2025.
As a source in the State Security Department told “Slidstva.Info”, after Andriy Yermak was dismissed from the President’s Office, the guards left their jobs at the State Security Department and began providing him with security services as a private individual.
As is known, the former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, was released from pre-trial detention after posting bail of 140 million hryvnias in a case of alleged money laundering. This happened on May 18, after which a number of procedural obligations were assigned to him.
