Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine will not agree to give up its territories at the request of Russia. According to him, Moscow, through American mediators, is demanding the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from parts of the regions that the Russian army has not been able to fully capture.

Zelensky stressed that Ukraine will not give up its territories, despite Russia’s desire to take them under its control.
“We certainly will not give up Ukrainian territories, but of course Russia wants them,” the president said.
According to the head of state, the Kremlin is conveying its territorial demands through American intermediaries. Russia insists that Ukraine voluntarily withdraw the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the territories that Russian troops have failed to capture.
“The Russians are demanding that we voluntarily withdraw from territories that they themselves could not capture. This is an unreasonable idea. This is irrational,” Zelensky said.
The President also emphasized that decisions regarding the future of Ukraine cannot be made without its participation.
“You cannot decide the fate of Ukraine without the participation of Ukraine itself. This would be unfair and would not yield any results,” he added.
On the eve, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced his readiness to hold a personal meeting with Vladimir Putin in Turkey. He named the ceasefire along the front line and a mechanism for monitoring compliance with the agreements as the main topics of the talks.
