“This Does Not Reflect the Entire Faction”: Sluga Narodu Leader Comments on Coalition Statement

David Arakhamia, head of the “Sluga narodu” faction, clarified that the recent statement on forming a parliamentary coalition and a new government represents only the views of individual MPs, not the official position of the entire faction.

He wrote about this in Telegram.

According to him, Poturayev’s statement should not be seen as representing the general position of “Sluga narodu,” as neither the faction nor the party has issued similar declarations.

“As for political assessments, there have been many today. Some individual members of our faction have also expressed their personal opinions regarding the situation in parliament”. This is a statement by individual MPs, and they have the right to do so,” Arakhamia wrote.

Earlier, MP Mykyta Poturayev stated that the ‘Sluga’ proposes to immediately begin negotiations on forming a new parliamentary coalition and establishing a new government

As a reminder, Petro Poroshenko, amid a high-profile corruption scandal in the government, called on parliament to restore its independence, form a responsible coalition, and approve a new, professional, and accountable Cabinet of Ministers.

As is known, the Verkhovna Rada Office, acting on instructions from the President’s Office, is blocking the publication of letters calling for the government’s resignation following the corruption scandal.
