Three civilian vessels under different flags were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz

On Wednesday, March 11, unknown munitions hit three ships in the Strait of Hormuz area in the Middle East.
This was reported by the BBC.
In particular, the Mayuree Naree, which was 19 kilometers north of Oman, was attacked. After the attack, a fire broke out there.
Also near the Strait of Hormuz, 46 kilometers off the coast of the United Arab Emirates, a Japanese-flagged container ship was hit.
According to the captain, the ship was damaged, but there were no casualties among the crew. It is currently heading to a safe place.
In addition, an unknown projectile also hit a bulk carrier flying the flag of the Marshall Islands. The vessel was almost 100 kilometers north of Dubai.
The entire crew is currently safe, however, the hull of the dry cargo ship was damaged as a result of the attack.
The UK Maritime Trade Authority has urged ships in the region to “transit with caution.”
Earlier it was reported that Iran had blocked the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf , a key route for oil supplies from the Middle East. The movement of oil tankers in the strait has been effectively halted, and ships have reduced their speed to zero.
As is known, the oil tanker Skylight, flying the flag of the Republic of Palau, was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz off the coast of Oman . As a result of the incident, 4 crew members were injured, and all 20 sailors were evacuated.
Later, French President Emmanuel Macron announced an upcoming mission to gradually restore shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
