Three Hours of Truth: Russian TV Shows the Real Consequences of War
On the evening of August 24, Russian television showed a video about the real losses of the occupying army in Ukraine.
This was reported by Ukrinform, citing sources in the State Security Service.
“Cyber guerrillas managed to hack the Russian provider “No. 3″ and display a video about the real results of the Russian Federation’s war against Ukraine on 116 TV channels at once,” Ukrinform notes.
Cyber activists also managed to block the provider’s access to servers to make it more difficult to interrupt the broadcast of videos on Russian TV channels.
At least 50,000 viewers from Moscow and other regions of Russia watched for more than three hours in the evening the explosions at Russian oil refineries and the burial sites of Russian occupiers.
The broadcast was also additionally provided through the Apple Store, Google Play and Smart TV applications, as well as on other cable networks for those who do not use digital television.
Earlier, one of the main operators of suburban trains in the Moscow region – the Moscow-Tver Suburban Passenger Company – became the target of a large-scale cyberattack. Hackers disabled the route between Moscow and St. Petersburg .
As a reminder, as a result of a large-scale cyberattack by two hacker groups — Silent Crow and the Belarusian “Cyberpartisans” — the IT infrastructure of the Russian airline Aeroflot was destroyed, dozens of flights were canceled, and 20 TB of data was stolen, including personal information of passengers . The hackers stated that they had been monitoring the company’s critical systems for a year, and are now preparing to publish the stolen information. In response, the Russian authorities are silent.
