Three more countries join agreement to establish Special Tribunal for Russia

During an informal meeting of the EU Council of Foreign Ministers in Kyiv, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Moldova announced their accession to the agreement to establish a Special Tribunal to investigate the crime of aggression against Ukraine.
This was stated by Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga, quoted by Ukrinform.
“The issue of punishing Russian criminals will never be removed from the agenda… Today we have concrete results, including new decisions on joining the agreement on the Special Tribunal,” the Ukrainian minister assured.
He thanked Germany, the United Kingdom, and Moldova, noting that 14 countries have already joined the agreement . At the same time, Sibiga hopes that other states will join as well.
As a reminder, the head of the Swedish Foreign Ministry, Maria Malmer Stenergard, announced that Stockholm has joined the agreement on the Special Tribunal to investigate the crime of aggression against Ukraine.
As is known, a meeting of foreign ministers of the European Union countries was held in Lviv on May 9, 2025 to establish a special tribunal for the Russian Federation for crimes against Ukraine. The coalition gave political approval to the establishment of a special tribunal.
By the way, a group of states to create a special tribunal on the crime of Russian aggression against Ukraine has completed the preparation of technical and legal documents for its launch on the basis of the Council of Europe.
