Three soldiers of the Azov brigade were sentenced in Russia

In Russia, a court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced three captured servicemen of the Azov Brigade to 20 years in prison on terrorism charges.

This is reported by Mediazona.

The Southern District Military Court found 50-year-old Mikhail Nasonov, 30-year-old Vladislav Kormilin, and 52-year-old Sergey Kopylov guilty. The court charged them with participation in a terrorist community and receiving training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities.

As the publication notes, in Russia such accusations are regularly made against servicemen of the Azov Brigade.

According to Mediazona, Vladislav Kormilin served in the unit since 2018 as a rifleman and in the spring of 2022 participated in the defense of Azovstal.

Mikhail Nasonov has been part of the unit since 2015. The investigation calls him a senior instructor and deputy commander of the automobile platoon.

Serhiy Kopylov served in the patrol company of the rifle battalion and was responsible for material support.

All three were captured in May 2022.

As previously reported, Denys Holub, a Ukrainian prisoner of war and a fighter of the Azov regiment, was sentenced to 20 years in a maximum-security colony.

As a reminder, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko announced that the court has sentenced a Russian soldier involved in the execution of servicemen of the Defense Forces.
