Three Ukrainian Championships and support for the Hospitallers: How the 15th Work.ua Kyiv Invincibility Half Marathon 2026 went

On April 4-5, the 15th anniversary Work.ua Kyiv Half Marathon of Invincibility 2026, the second stage of the Naftogaz Running League of Invincibility 2026 from Run Ukraine, took place in Kyiv.

Today, the Kyiv Half Marathon is an international event. 9,750 participants from 28 countries took part in the event , including runners from the USA, Great Britain, France, the Czech Republic, Japan, and New Zealand. This year, more participants came from Kyiv, Dnipro, and Kharkiv.

For the fourth year in a row, the Work.ua Kyiv Invincibility Half Marathon has brought together thousands of runners to support medical volunteers. We donated 50% of the race proceeds to the Hospitallers Volunteer Medical Battalion , which has been participating in the Russian-Ukrainian war since 2014. This year, the charitable donation amounted to UAH 1,177,650.

“This race isn’t just about kilometers or minutes; it’s about so much more for each of us. Today, participants will cover different distances: from 5 to 21 kilometers. However, it’s important to remember that we are all running a single distance—for Ukraine, which never gives up. Friends, run with your heart, with gratitude and glory!” said Dmitry Chernitsky , founder of Run Ukraine and a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

The title partner of the Kyiv Half Marathon is Work.ua, the number one job search service in Ukraine.

“Such large-scale events unite businesses and people from various fields – military personnel, artists, athletes. This is a true point of unity where we realize: we are the only ones. We are Ukrainians, and that’s why we will win!” commented Artur Mikhno, co-founder and CEO of Work.ua.

As part of the 15th Work.ua Kyiv Invincibility Half Marathon 2026, the Ukrainian Road Running Championships were held across three distances among adults, youth, and juniors (21 km, 5 km, 1 mile), held jointly with the Ukrainian Athletics Federation. 

Thus, the fastest professional track and field athletes of Ukraine took to the start of the main distance – 21.0975 km , at distances of 5 km and 1 mile (1.6 km).

The winner of the Ukrainian Championship in the 21 km distance was Gorodisskiy Bogdan-Ivan with a result of 1:04:51, second place went to Strebkov Ivan with a finishing time of 1:05:24, and third place went to Siruk Dmitry – 1:05:39.

“I ran very well today. My coach instructed me to run softly and then really ramp up in the final kilometers. We stayed in a group until the 13th kilometer, and then—about a kilometer before the Northern Bridge—I ran alone. Due to certain health issues, I stayed until the very last moment.” However, running at home is always nice—the support of friends and other athletes helps immensely ,” commented Bogdan-Ivan Gorodisky .

Natalia Strebkova won the women’s race with a time of 1:13:14. Ivanna Chereshnevskaya finished second with a time of 1:15:21. Natalia Burkovskaya finished third with a time of 1:16:16, thus meeting the standard for the Master of Sports title.

“I ran a little slower than at the Warsaw Half Marathon two weeks ago, where I set a personal best of 1:11:18. I wish I had more competitors running alongside me so we could shield each other from the wind, but I had to cover the entire distance on my own. This is my first season. I feel in great physical shape: I have a lot of strength and motivation to run again,” Natalia Strebkova commented on her victory .

For the first time in Ukraine, Run Ukraine held the Ukrainian Age Category Championship , covering a distance of 21.0975 km. All registered participants aged 35 and over participated in the championship.

The Work.ua Kyiv Nezlomnosti 2026 Half Marathon also included individual races of 10 km and 5 km, a symbolic veterans’ race , “ Heroes of the Nation,” and children’s races.

Each finisher of the Work.ua Kyiv Invincibility Half Marathon 2026 received a unique medal commemorating the event. Its shape reproduces rays merging into a single whole, symbolizing the power of unity. Each runner is a beam of energy. But only together do these rays create a powerful flow capable of transforming the space around them.

The Kyiv Half Marathon also concluded its Bigosbor.Spring event , where Run Ukraine, along with its partners and runners, converted the kilometers they collected into charitable donations.
