The Yuzhnoukrainsk, Khmelnytskyi, and Rivne nuclear power plants have returned to normal power production following last week’s massive Russian attacks, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) announced.

According to the agency, almost all power units are currently operating at full power. Only one unit—the IAEA did not specify which one—remains in reduced power mode.

All high-voltage power lines damaged as a result of Russian shelling have already been restored.

The IAEA also plans to dispatch a special mission to inspect several key substations critical to nuclear safety. Experts will assess the nature of the recent damage and potential risks to the stable operation of the nuclear power plant.

It was previously reported that the Khmelnitsky Nuclear Power Plant was operating with a damaged turbine, and the power unit was producing electricity 100 MW below its nominal capacity.

As a reminder, two Ukrainian nuclear power plants – Khmelnytskyi and Rivne – have been operating at reduced power for over ten days due to a Russian attack that damaged a substation crucial to their safety.
