Three Ukrainians have died as a result of an accident in France

Four people were killed in a road accident in France, three of whom were Ukrainian citizens.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to him, many people were injured in the accident, including children returning from a student exchange program.

Two individuals are currently in serious condition, and French doctors are fighting for their lives. Others sustained minor to moderate injuries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has dispatched Ukrainian diplomats and consular officials to the scene of the accident to stay in contact with the families of the victims, as well as with representatives of the French authorities and emergency services on site.

As President Zelenskyy noted, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga and Interior Minister Igor Klymenko are providing regular updates on the victims’ conditions and the circumstances of the incident.

The President also expressed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives.

“I am grateful to the French authorities for the extensive involvement of their emergency services: over 50 rescue teams were deployed to urgently transport our children to hospitals, and they continue to assist our people. This is a true expression of French solidarity,” he concluded.
As a reminder, a large-scale accident involving a Ukrainian bus occurred in France, resulting in the deaths of at least four people, including children. The accident occurred on June 13 on the Rennes-Le Mans highway, near the city of Le Mans.
