The Security Service of Ukraine conducted a special operation in temporarily occupied Crimea, during which Russian military facilities in Sevastopol and at the Belbek airfield were hit. The attacks damaged ships, air defense facilities, and military aircraft.
This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
It is noted that the operation was carried out by fighters of the Alpha Special Operations Center of the SBU within the framework of the tasks set by the President of Ukraine.
A number of military targets were hit by drone strikes, including:
- large landing ship of the Russian Navy “Yamal”;
- large landing ship of the Russian Navy “Filchenkov”;
- reconnaissance ship “Ivan Khurs”;
- training center of the Russian Black Sea Fleet “Lukomka”;
- Air Defense Forces Radio Intelligence Headquarters;
- Radar MR-10M1 “Cape-M1”;
- MiG-31 aircraft at Belbek airfield;
- the technical and operational part of the Belbek airfield.
The SBU noted that these strikes are aimed at weakening the enemy’s military infrastructure.
“Each such operation has a clear logic: we methodically destroy key elements of the enemy’s military infrastructure – the fleet, aviation, intelligence and air defense. This is not only a direct loss of equipment, but also the destruction of the enemy’s ability to control space, cover its forces and plan new attacks. This work will continue until Russia stops its aggression against our state,” said Acting Head of the SBU Yevheniy Khmara.
The department also recalled that on April 18, Alpha fighters had already conducted an operation in the territory of Crimea, during which 3 Russian warships were hit.
By the way, on the night of Sunday, March 26, the temporarily occupied Crimea came under attack by drones . Explosions were heard in Sevastopol, Balaklava, and a number of other areas of the peninsula.
We will remind you that on the night of April 22, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck a number of important Russian facilities , in particular the Black Sea Fleet ship traffic control point “Strelecki” in Sevastopol .
