Thunderstorm and heat up to +32: weather in Ukraine on August 17

On Sunday, August 17, thunderstorms, strong winds and hail are forecast in Ukraine in a number of regions.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center .

Cloudy weather with clearings will prevail over most of the country. In the northern and central regions, as well as in Zakarpattia, Prykarpattia and Khmelnytskyi region, short-term rains and thunderstorms are expected. In some places, squalls with a speed of 15-20 m/s and hail are possible. In the rest of the territory, precipitation is not forecast.

The air temperature at night will be 14–19°, during the day in the western and northern regions it will rise to 23–28°, in the rest of the territory – to 27–32°.

A yellow hazard level has been declared in most northern and central regions, as well as in western regions. Bad weather may complicate the work of energy, construction and utility companies, and also create problems for transport.

Short-term rains with thunderstorms are also expected in Kyiv and the region, hail and squalls are possible in some places. The air temperature in the capital will fluctuate from 14–19° at night to 23–28° during the day. The yellow danger level will be in effect here as well.
