Thunderstorms, hail and squalls: which regions will be the first to be hit by bad weather?

The weather in Ukraine will change dramatically in the coming days. After hot days, most regions will see rain, thunderstorms, and cooler air. The temperature will drop by 3–5 degrees, although the heat will still remain up to +33 degrees in the east and southeast.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center and the forecaster of the Ukrhydrometeorological Center Ivan Semilyt.

According to the forecasters, on July 22, moderate and in places heavy rains with thunderstorms are expected in the south, east and most of the central regions. In some places, hail and wind gusts of 15–20 m/s are possible. Already on July 23, precipitation will mainly shift to the east and southeast, while dry weather will set in in other regions.

“After the passage of the atmospheric front, cooler air will arrive, so over the next five days the air temperature will gradually decrease,” explained Ivan Semilyt.

At night, the air temperature will be +10…+18 degrees, during the day – +23…+28 degrees. At the same time, in the eastern and southeastern regions, the heat will still persist in places up to +30…+33 degrees. At the end of the week, in most regions, the daytime temperature will fluctuate within +20…+27 degrees.
