TikTok fake: fictional “military” talks about Romania’s offensive

Another fake created with the help of artificial intelligence, which uses the image of a Ukrainian military man, is being spread on social media, in particular on TikTok.

This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.

This is a video where a man in military uniform poses as a Ukrainian defender and claims that Romanian troops are allegedly preparing to “occupy” the Chernivtsi region.

The Center emphasizes that this is false information created as part of an information operation.

“A fake video is being circulated online with a man in military uniform posing as a Ukrainian defender,” the Center for Countering Disinformation reported.

According to experts, the video has characteristic signs of AI generation — unnatural facial expressions, articulation problems, a robotic voice, and accent errors.

It is also emphasized that no official sources confirm the information about the movement of troops near the border with Romania.

“The voiced statements are a fabrication of Russian fakers,” the Center noted.

The department emphasized that Romania is a partner of Ukraine and does not pose a threat, and the distribution of such videos is aimed at undermining trust in allies and destabilizing the situation in border regions.

Let us remind you that Russian propagandists are spreading a new information hoax about alleged “atrocities” by the Ukrainian military.

As reported, Russian Telegram channels published a fake story online about a Ukrainian serviceman of the 103rd Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, claiming that he allegedly went to the front to avoid punishment for “raping minors.”
