Ukrainian military liberated the village of Torske in the Lymansky direction and cleared it of Russian occupiers. After the operation was completed, the Ukrainian flag was raised again over the village.
This was reported by the 425th separate assault regiment “Skelya”.
Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine divided the settlement, about nine kilometers long, into zones that were successively liberated from the enemy. As a result, Torske returned to Ukrainian control.
According to the military, up to a hundred Russian soldiers were eliminated during the operation. Some of the occupiers were hiding in basements and destroyed buildings, trying to avoid the strikes.
The Ukrainian defenders used heavy drone bombers that dropped twin anti-tank mines on enemy firing points. Such strikes allowed them to destroy the enemy’s cover.
“Simultaneously with the clearing in Torske, a blocking position was set up on the road to Liman, our group at this position stopped the enemy’s advance for two weeks,” the fighters of the “Skelya” regiment reported.
The unit noted that most of the Russian soldiers in Torske were demoralized. Some of them surrendered, but during the evacuation of these prisoners to Ukrainian positions, some were attacked by their own Russian drones and artillery.
The situation in the Lyman direction continues to stabilize. According to the command, Ukrainian troops are holding their positions and continue to conduct local operations to strengthen defense.
We will remind you that the Ukrainian Defense Forces liberated the settlement of Kucheriv Yak in the Pokrov direction in the Donetsk region.
By the way, the Ukrainian military continues to conduct offensive operations near Dobropillya and has already liberated 180.8 sq. km of territory.
