Track and field athlete Vitaliy Rymaruk died in the war

Track and field athlete and discus thrower Vitaliy Rymaruk died while defending Ukraine from Russian invaders.

This was reported by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Youth and Sports, citing the head of the subcommittee on issues of high-performance sports and sports activities, Olga Saladukha.

According to her, Vitaliy’s life was cut short in the prime of his life and abilities. The Ukrainian Youth Champion, a prize winner in junior competitions, he had the potential to reach even greater heights in sports, to make himself and Ukraine famous.

Vitaly was 26 years old.
