Due to massive Russian shelling, passenger trains are delayed in a number of regions of Ukraine. Railway workers are continuing to operate on routes where the security situation allows.
This is reported by Ukrzaliznytsia.
The company noted that the situation may change quickly, so the delay time of individual flights may be reduced. Passengers are advised to monitor push notifications in the Ukrzaliznytsia application, announcements at stations and information boards.
During an air raid alert, passengers are urged to head to shelters. If boarding is in progress at this time, railway employees will separately inform you how to safely reach the cars.
Ukrzaliznytsia also recommends that passengers take a supply of water and food with them on the trip, as the trip may take longer than planned due to the security situation.
For passengers and railway workers of trains that will be delayed for more than five hours due to Russian attacks, Ukrzaliznytsia, together with World Central Kitchen, will organize meals at one of the intermediate stations.
The Kyiv Ring Electric Railway also temporarily stopped its operation due to the threat. It has now fully resumed operation.
