Transformers invasion: Musk plans to create his own “army” of Optimus robots

Elon Musk said during a meeting with investors that he needs a compensation package worth about $1 trillion to maintain control over Tesla and its artificial intelligence projects. The entrepreneur warned that without that level of influence, he could be removed from management.

Musk said he fears losing control of the company as Tesla builds its own “army of robots.” He said he wants assurances that he will be able to influence the development of key technologies.
“My main concern is, if I create this huge army of robots, will they then remove me from Tesla? That’s my biggest concern,” Musk said.
According to Tesla’s proposal, the compensation package will be provided only if a number of strategic goals are achieved. Among them are the production of one million robo-taxis, the launch of one million Optimus humanoid robots, and an increase in the company’s market capitalization by several trillion dollars.
The company’s shareholders are scheduled to vote on the issue on November 7, 2025. If the proposal is approved, Elon Musk will gain an unprecedented level of influence over Tesla and could become the world’s first trillionaire.
During the event, Musk also presented updated plans for the development of the humanoid robot Optimus. According to him, the company will present the Optimus V3 version in the first quarter of 2026, and the fourth modification will be ready for mass production.
Musk described Optimus as “the most ambitious product in Tesla’s history,” stressing that it could become an “endless source of revenue” for the company. He said future versions of the robot could perform everything from household tasks to medical work.
At the same time, journalists remind that the current Optimus prototypes have significant limitations. During demonstrations, the robots performed only simple actions, including transferring objects, and some demonstrations were conducted under the control of operators.
Recall that Elon Musk announced the imminent launch of Grokipedia , a new online encyclopedia based on artificial intelligence. The first beta version of the platform will be available in two weeks. Grokipedia should become a more accurate and reliable source of knowledge than Wikipedia, thanks to integration with the Grok language model from xAI.
