US President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Andy Burnham held a telephone conversation on September 7. During the conversation, both sides agreed on the need to continue working toward a ceasefire in Ukraine.

Trump and Burnham agreed to work together to achieve a ceasefire that would stop further loss of life.

The British Prime Minister reaffirmed his support for Ukraine and the US-brokered peace talks.

In addition, Burnham stated London’s readiness to continue working to establish peace and ensure security in the region.

During the conversation, the parties also discussed a number of other international issues. These included the implementation of the two-state solution, the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and the need to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Incidentally, US Special Representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner made their first statements in Kyiv after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. They emphasized the need not only to end the war but also to create conditions for long-term peace and the restoration of Ukraine.
