Trump announced the complete demining of the Strait of Hormuz

US President Donald Trump said the US military had removed all mines in the international waters of the Strait of Hormuz. He also warned Iran of consequences if it tried to mine the sea route again.

Trump reported this on Truth Social.

According to the American president, the US Navy reported to him that all mines in the international waters of the strait have been removed or detonated.

“I have just been informed by the US Navy that all mines have been removed and/or detonated within international waters of the Strait of Hormuz,” Trump said.

He added that the US has warned Iran that any ship or boat that attempts to lay new mines will be immediately destroyed by US forces.

Trump also stated that the United States, with the help of the Space Force, is monitoring the entire Strait of Hormuz.

According to him, the US military is also monitoring Pickaxe Mountain and three other nuclear facilities, which the US president claims have already been destroyed.

Trump stressed that Washington will adhere to a “zero tolerance” policy towards any new attempts to lay mines in the Strait of Hormuz.

By the way, the United States and Iran have not yet been able to make progress in negotiations to end the war in the Middle East and restore the interim agreement that the parties concluded in June.

It was previously reported that on the night of July 15, the United States launched a new series of strikes on Iranian military facilities and announced the resumption of a naval blockade of ships heading to or leaving Iranian ports .

The day before, Iranian cruise missiles hit two tankers flying the flag of the United Arab Emirates in the Strait of Hormuz . The attack killed one crew member and injured eight others, including two Ukrainian citizens.
