The US president also said that he will soon announce the appointment of an “AI czar” – an official responsible for this area.

Trump has said he has no intention of curbing the development of the AI industry. At the same time, he said the government will monitor its development and respond to what he labeled as “BAD” using the existing criminal and civil justice systems.

Separately, Trump suggested changing the name of Artificial Intelligence. In Truth Social, he put forward 3 options for the poll:

• Superior Intelligence;
• Extreme Intelligence;
• Supreme Intelligence.

As of 12:45 p.m. on September 19, more than 27,000 users had participated in the survey. By the end of 2025, Trump had already suggested the name Supreme Intelligence, but at the time he noted that the final decision should be made by industry representatives.

Trump’s initiatives come amid a debate in the US about regulating artificial intelligence. Republican senators Josh Gowley and John Hasted this week introduced initiatives on data security and data center infrastructure development.
