After declaring that there’s no visible progress on ending the war in Ukraine, Donald Trump has shortened the timeline for action, giving Putin just 10–12 days.

He stated this while talking to journalists at a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Trump stressed that he currently sees no progress in efforts to end the war between Ukraine and Russia.

The U.S. president said he has given Vladimir Putin 10–12 days to resolve the situation concerning Ukraine.

“I’m setting a new deadline — around 10, 10 to 12 days from today,” Trump explained.

He added that when he previously set a 50-day timeframe, he “wanted to be generous,” but now sees no reason to wait.

As a reminder, on July 28, US President Donald Trump announced that he plans to shorten the deadline for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to reach a ceasefire in Ukraine.

Earlier, the Donald Trump administration announced that it would impose secondary sanctions and tariffs against Russia if a ceasefire is not achieved in Ukraine within 50 days.

As noted, the United States may impose sanctions against the Russian Federation and buyers of its energy resources in less than 50 days.
