The administration of US President Donald Trump plans to ban Chinese airlines from using Russian airspace when flying to the United States.
This is reported by Reuters .
It is noted that the United States Department of Transportation has prepared a document that provides for restrictions on Chinese carriers operating flights to the United States via Russian territory. The department stated that the current situation is “unfair” and “negatively affects the competitiveness of American air carriers.”
American airlines have long been critical, noting that Chinese carriers gain a significant advantage by reducing travel time and fuel costs by flying through Russian airspace.

Recall that after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in March 2022, the United States banned Russian airlines from flying over its territory. In response, Moscow closed its airspace to American carriers and most other Western airlines. However, China did not join such restrictions, and its airlines continued to use this route.
According to journalists, the restrictions may affect flights operated by Air China, China Eastern, Xiamen Airlines and China Southern. The draft order does not mention Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific, which also flies over Russia, including on the New York-Hong Kong route.
The proposed changes do not currently apply to cargo. Chinese airlines have been given two days to formally respond to the US initiative. According to the draft, the final decision could come into effect as early as November this year.
Experts believe the Trump administration’s initiative is part of a broader policy to limit China’s influence in aviation, technology and the economy. If implemented, flights between China and the United States could become longer and more expensive, affecting ticket prices and passenger traffic.
By the way, Europe is increasingly facing provocations, attacks, and information pressure from Russia. China is gradually joining this hybrid aggression.
We will remind you that the American Institute for the Study of War reported that the Kremlin is deliberately creating the basis for breaking international arms control agreements, trying to prepare for a possible large-scale confrontation with NATO.
As reported, journalists analyzed the leak of secret documents and found that Russia agreed to supply China with armored vehicles and train Chinese airborne units in airborne operations.
It should be noted that the weak response of NATO and the European Union to drone attacks is pushing the Kremlin to take more active actions. At the same time, China also seeks to create chaos in the Alliance countries, so it is not excluded that Chinese leader Xi Jinping, together with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, are preparing massive strikes on Europe.
