Trump is ready to impose “serious sanctions” against Russia, but there are conditions

US President Donald Trump has said he is ready to impose “serious sanctions” against Russia, but will only do so under certain conditions.
This is stated in his post on the social network Truth Social.
According to him, the US will impose sanctions on Russia only when all NATO members agree and do the same.
In addition, Trump added that alliance countries should stop buying Russian oil, as importing raw materials weakens the negotiating position and influence over Russia.
“In any case, I am ready to act when you are ready. Just tell me when?” he concluded.
The American leader also stressed the need to impose tariffs of 50-100% against China. The tariffs, Trump noted, can be removed only after the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
“China has strong control and even influence over Russia, and these powerful tariffs will break that influence,” the US president assured.
Earlier, Donald Trump said that he was ready to move to the second phase of sanctions against Russia for waging war in Ukraine.
Recall that the United States once again threatened Russia with sanctions if the Kremlin does not move towards a peaceful settlement.
It is worth adding that Donald Trump has stated that his patience with Putin is quickly running out , and therefore he may deal a “strong blow” to Russia, which will include sanctions against banks and will affect oil and tariffs.
By the way, the US Department of Commerce has published a list of companies that will be subject to export restrictions.
