US President Donald Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., said his father may distance himself from the Russia-Ukraine war if peace efforts fail.
He said this in a comment to SkyNews.
When asked directly whether he considered the possibility of the president distancing himself from the war in Ukraine, Trump Jr. answered in the affirmative, emphasizing that his father is known for his unpredictability.
In his opinion, this trait is both strong and unique, since it is difficult to predict what steps Donald Trump might take.
Despite this, the president’s son assured that he does not believe that Ukraine will be left without support.
Drawing parallels with his father’s operation against Venezuelan drug cartels, Trump Jr. said it posed a far greater threat to the United States than events in Ukraine or Russia.
He also accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of allegedly unwillingness to end the war and called Ukraine more corrupt than Russia. He claimed that this summer, half of the luxury cars in Monaco, such as Bugattis and Ferraris, allegedly had Ukrainian license plates.
As a reminder, the Trump administration’s preliminary ceasefire plan calls for the complete withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the Donbas and Luhansk regions , as well as the freezing of the contact line in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.
It should be noted that following the negotiations between the Ukrainian and American delegations in Geneva, the US peace plan for Ukraine underwent significant changes.
As is known, Ukraine has given preliminary consent to the American peace proposal to end the war, but the process is slowed by a complete lack of response from Russia.
Incidentally, US Vice President J.D. Vance stated that the war in Ukraine has proven more difficult than in the Middle East, although he expects good news in the near future .
