Trump on war: Russia should just cease fire, Ukraine should think

US President Donald Trump has said that the only real concession from the Russian Federation in a potential peace agreement with Ukraine could be a complete cessation of hostilities.
He told reporters about this during a conversation on board Air Force One, Ukrainka Pravda reports.
According to Trump, Moscow’s main position in a possible peace process should be to stop the war:
“Their key concession is to stop fighting and not seize new territories,” he stressed.
The US President also commented on the question of whether Ukraine could make any territorial compromises:
“If you look at the current situation, everything is moving in one direction. In a few months, this territory could be under Russian control anyway. So why continue the fight and lose another 50,000-60,000 people? Or maybe it’s worth making a decision now? However, it also happens that territories are returned. They are negotiating and want to finish it,” Trump said.
As a reminder, US President Donald Trump accused the Ukrainian authorities of a lack of gratitude for his efforts to end the war. The politician also criticized his predecessor Joe Biden for what he believes was the one who allowed Russia to launch a full-scale attack.
