US President Donald Trump has instructed the Pentagon to prepare measures to deter China and Russia, emphasizing that the steps are aimed at restoring morale and ensuring global deterrence rather than provoking conflict. The announcement comes amid a military parade in Beijing showcasing solidarity between China, Russia, and North Korea.

This is reported by Fox News.

US President Donald Trump has officially instructed the Department of Defense to prepare for a large-scale restructuring of the armed forces to deter potential threats from China and Russia.

“President Trump has instructed us at the Department of Defense to be prepared for a historic transformation of our armed forces—to restore morale and strengthen deterrence—not because we seek conflict. We do not. We have made that clear to China, Russia, and others,” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth explained.

According to Trump, the threat from Moscow and Beijing became even more apparent after the three leaders recently met in Beijing during a military parade marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Trump directly accused Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Kim Jong-un of conspiring against the United States.

“The big question that needs to be answered is whether President Xi will remember the enormous support and ‘blood’ that the United States of America gave to liberate China from a very hostile foreign invader,” he said.

The parade in Beijing itself was a demonstration of military power and solidarity between Beijing, Moscow, and Pyongyang. In his speech, Xi Jinping emphasized China’s invincibility and the people’s willingness to sacrifice.

“Today, humanity faces a choice: peace or war, dialogue or confrontation, mutual benefit or a zero-sum game. The Chinese people stand firmly on the right side of history,” Xi said.

Xi also noted that “the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is unstoppable” and that China “will never succumb to bullies,” a clear reference to the United States. At the same time, Trump expressed his willingness to continue diplomatic contacts but did not hide his concern about the strengthening military alliance between Beijing, Moscow, and Pyongyang.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth clarified that the Army’s restructuring is aimed at strategic readiness.

“We are not preparing for war, but to ensure effective deterrence and global stability. This is a historic task for our Department of Defense,” he added.

Against this backdrop, Trump and his administration are signaling a firm commitment to maintaining US military superiority worldwide and responding to escalating geopolitical challenges in Asia and Europe.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un are conducting a joint conspiracy against the United States. The politician made the corresponding statement in his post on the Truth Social platform.

By the way, Moscow and Beijing should jointly defend their interests in the field of security and development in order to form a “more just and rational” international order.

As a reminder, one of the largest military parades in recent years was held in Beijing, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory over Japan in World War II.
