US President Donald Trump supported the Russian idea of deploying a Chinese contingent in Ukraine.
This was reported in the Financial Times.
According to the publication’s interlocutors, during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House, Trump proposed the introduction of military personnel from China as one of the security guarantees for Ukraine.
According to the American president, Chinese soldiers could control a neutral zone along the front line.
However, Zelensky and European partners rejected this idea.
At the same time, a senior official, speaking on condition of anonymity, denied the information, emphasizing that there were “no discussions regarding Chinese peacekeepers” during the meeting.
Recall, Putin suggested China as a country that could provide security guarantees for Ukraine during a meeting with US President Donald Trump in Alaska.
Instead, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine does not consider China as a possible security guarantor after the end of the war with Russia.
