US President Donald Trump has promised to resolve the conflict with North Korea, as he gets along “greatly” with Kim Jong-un.
His words are quoted in Reuters.
Reporters asked Trump if he had passed letters to Kim Jong-un. He did not answer this question, but stated that he had a good relationship with Kim Jong-un, adding that he got along very well with him.
“We’ll see what happens next. Some say there’s a potential conflict, I think we’ll resolve it. If there is, it’s none of our business,” Trump said.
It is worth noting that South Korean media reported that in June, the North Korean delegation to the UN repeatedly refused to accept letters from Trump that he addressed to Kim Jong-un.
By the way, during his first presidential term, Trump and Kim Jong Un held three meetings and exchanged a number of letters, which Trump called “wonderful.”
Diplomatic interaction between the states broke down due to US demands for North Korea to abandon nuclear weapons.
