US President Donald Trump said that Nicolas Maduro and his wife had been captured and taken out of Venezuela.
Trump wrote about this in Truth social.
“The United States of America has successfully carried out a major strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who, along with his wife, was captured and removed from the country. This operation was conducted in cooperation with U.S. law enforcement. Details to be announced later,” Trump wrote.
Trump announced a press conference at Mar-a-Lago at 11:00 a.m. local time.
Recall that US President Donald Trump ordered strikes on targets inside Venezuela on Saturday, January 3.
The Venezuelan government subsequently declared a state of emergency in the country due to the American attack .
