Trump says he will focus on war in Ukraine after Iran

US President Donald Trump said he plans to pay more attention to Russia’s war against Ukraine and does not rule out new steps to resolve it.

The American leader made the corresponding statement on June 15 on the sidelines of the G7 summit.
According to Trump, after completing work on the Iran issue, Washington can become more active in the Ukrainian direction.
“Maybe we can do something about Ukraine. I think both Putin and Zelensky are ready for it. Now that Iran is over, we will focus on that,” the US president said.
Trump also expressed the opinion that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin are ready for possible negotiations.
The American president did not provide any other details regarding potential initiatives or formats of the negotiation process.
The United States and Iran have signed a memorandum of understanding that is intended to serve as the basis for further negotiations between the countries. The document outlines key principles for cooperation, including on issues such as the nuclear program, sanctions, and regional security.
