Trump sees no reason to isolate Russia economically – Vance

US President Donald Trump sees “no reason” for economic isolation of Russia other than due to the continuation of the war against Ukraine.
US Vice President J.D. Vance stated this on the One America News television channel .
Vance answered affirmatively to a journalist’s question about whether Washington considers cooperation with Russia one of the factors that could end military action.
“The (US) president has been very open with both the Europeans and the Russians that he sees no reason to isolate Russia economically other than to continue the conflict. He wants the killing to stop,” he said.
Vance added that Trump is ready for favorable economic agreements with Russia concerning oil, gas and minerals.
According to Vence, a possible peaceful settlement will allow the United States to develop economic relations with Kyiv and Moscow.
Trump has previously called on the European Union to impose tough 100 percent tariffs on trade with China and India to increase economic pressure on Russia and force it to make peace. In response, America is ready to take similar measures and join a joint sanctions campaign .
