US President Donald Trump has set a deadline for Hamas to agree to a ceasefire proposal.
This was reported by Suspilne.
According to Trump, the US has given 3-4 days to make a decision, and if this does not happen, “it will be a very sad end.”
“We’ll give them 3-4 days. We’ll see how it goes. All the Arab countries have signed. All the Muslim countries have signed. Israel has fully signed. We’re just waiting for Hamas,” the American president said.
He also assured that the United States is looking for hostages.
In addition, Trump stated that 25,000 Hamas militants have already been killed and their leadership has been eliminated three times.
“You know, we killed about 25,000 Hamas fighters. So, of course, they paid a big price for October 7th. And this is a completely new group. You know, they come and they come, and they keep coming. But this is a completely different group. And their leadership was killed three times,” he noted.
Earlier, Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington, after which he announced a plan for a ceasefire in Gaza .
As is known, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has launched a large-scale ground operation to establish full control over Gaza City.
