Trump supports Putin’s possible mediation in the Iran-Israel conflict
US President Donald Trump has responded favorably to Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin’s offer to mediate between Iran and Israel.
He said this in a comment to ABC News, the journalist reports .
In particular, when asked whether Putin would act as a mediator in the conflict, Trump replied that he was “open to it.”
“He (Putin – ed.) is ready. He called me about this. We talked about it for a long time,” the American president assured.
According to him, during the phone conversation, the leaders discussed the situation in the Middle East for longer than the Russian-Ukrainian war.
“We talked about it more than his situation. I believe it will be resolved,” Trump concluded.
Earlier, Trump had a telephone conversation with Putin , during which they discussed the situation in the Middle East and the implementation of agreements between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
Recall that on the night of Friday, June 13, the Israeli army launched a large-scale operation against Iran and massively attacked nuclear and military facilities.
