Trump threatens Putin with “serious consequences” if he doesn’t meet with Zelensky

US leader Donald Trump said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s unwillingness to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will have “serious consequences” for Russia.
He said this during a joint press conference with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung.
“We’ll see what happens. The consequences could be very serious, because this (war – ed.) is something that has to end,” Trump assured.
At the same time, he is convinced that Putin wants to end the war, which, he says, is evidenced by the Russian dictator’s visit to the United States for a summit.
Recall, Trump said that within the next two weeks it will become clear whether peace can be achieved in Ukraine . If this does not happen, he warned about the possibility of finding “another approach” to resolving the war.
By the way, Donald Trump wants Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin to first hold a personal meeting . Only after that is he ready to join the trilateral format of negotiations.
