Trump to decide on sanctions against Russia within 24-36 hours

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said a decision on imposing secondary sanctions against Russia after the expiration of the ultimatum that President Donald Trump gave to Vladimir Putin will be made in the coming days.
Rubio spoke about this in an interview with Fox Business.
“This is a decision that the president must make within the next 24 to 36 hours,” the secretary of state said.
He stressed that much would depend on the results of ongoing negotiations:
“We are assessing the progress of the work that will be done over the next few days – from the progress. And then, ultimately, the president will make a decision – whether he considers sanctions necessary, depending on how the situation develops.”
By the way, US President Donald Trump announced progress in negotiations with Russia on ending the war in Ukraine . According to him, his special envoy Steve Witkoff held a meeting with Vladimir Putin, after which consultations with European allies began.
