US President Donald Trump said that countries affected by Iran’s blockade of the Strait of Hormuz should “take their own oil.”
He wrote about this on the social network TruthSocial.
“To all those countries that cannot get aviation fuel through the Strait of Hormuz, like the UK, which refused to participate in the ‘decapitation’ of Iran, I have a suggestion for you: first, buy from the US — we have plenty of it; second, muster up some belated courage, go to the Strait and just take it,” the post says.
Trump emphasized that countries will be forced to learn to “fight for themselves,” as the United States will supposedly no longer be around to help.
“Iran is essentially already destroyed. The hardest part is behind us. Go and get your oil!” the head of the White House concluded.
Earlier it was reported that Iran had blocked the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf , a key route for oil supplies from the Middle East. The movement of oil tankers in the strait has been effectively halted, and ships have reduced their speed to zero.
As is known, in his first statement, the new leader of Iran emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed . According to him, this is pressure on Israel and the United States.
As a reminder, French President Emmanuel Macron announced an upcoming mission to gradually restore shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
At the same time , Europe wants to open the Strait of Hormuz , creating an analogue of the “grain corridor” in Ukraine.
