US President Donald Trump is preparing for another medical examination amid increased attention to his health.
This is reported by The Washington Post.
According to the newspaper, Trump is scheduled to undergo a routine checkup at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. This is the president’s third or fourth visit to the facility in the past 13 months.
American media point out that such a number of medical examinations is atypical for US presidents, as they usually undergo a comprehensive examination once a year.
The White House assures that Trump is in “excellent physical shape” and can fully perform the duties of the president.
At the same time, some independent experts question the completeness of the information released by the US administration regarding the health of the American leader.
In particular, the public has repeatedly drawn attention to bruises on Trump’s hands, swollen legs, and signs of fatigue during public events.
Previously, the US president was also diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency.
Trump himself has repeatedly stated that he has successfully passed cognitive tests and advocated mandatory intelligence testing for all candidates for public office.
