Trump’s peace plan for Ukraine: possible deadline for document approval announced

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump will agree on the final details of a peace plan for Ukraine during a personal meeting. US representatives noted that all key points of the document are still under discussion.

US representatives stated that the terms of a possible peace treaty regarding Ukraine would be agreed upon only after a personal meeting between the leaders of both countries.
According to an American official, the US administration expects to complete the preparation of a document that will be beneficial for Ukraine.
“Nothing will be agreed until the two presidents meet,” the American official said, referring to Trump and Zelensky.
As is known, the United States has published a 28-point plan aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. The document, prepared with the participation of the American and Russian sides, envisages Kyiv transferring control of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and parts of Kherson and Zaporizhia regions to Russia. In exchange, security guarantees are offered, as well as provisions on reducing the size of the Ukrainian army and a ban on joining NATO.
As is known, on Sunday, November 23, negotiations between the US, Ukraine and the EU regarding Donald Trump’s new “peace plan” will be held in Geneva (Switzerland). The purpose of the meeting is to agree on the wording for the upcoming meeting of the presidents of Ukraine and the US.
A group of Western leaders released a joint statement on the initial draft of the US peace plan for Ukraine on Tuesday. They stressed that the document could serve as a basis for work, but needed to be refined.
Earlier, key provisions of the draft US “peace plan” , allegedly agreed upon by representatives of Donald Trump and the Kremlin, became known. The document contains 28 points relating to the security, territories, economy and political future of Ukraine.
Subsequently, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved the composition of the delegation for consultations with international partners on ending the war.
