Journalist and political commentator Yulia Zabelina said that Keith Kellogg, Donald Trump’s special representative, could resign in a few weeks.
She wrote about this on Telegram.
According to her, in order to remain in office, Kellogg needs to demonstrate efficiency and progress. This is how the journalist explained the visit to Minsk and the release of political prisoners in Belarus.
Zabelina emphasized that Kellogg is important for Kyiv, in particular as a person who draws the White House’s attention to Ukraine.
“If he resigns, it will be very bad news for us,” she summed up.
Background: Keith Kellogg is a retired American general. He is currently Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine, having previously served as the US special representative for Ukraine and Russia.
In 2023, Kellogg criticized Western support for Ukraine, saying the aid was slow and inconsistent.
