On Saturday, June 21, Donald Trump’s special representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, visited Belarus, where he met with self-proclaimed President Alexander Lukashenko.
This was reported by Lukashenko’s press service.
It is noted that the meeting took place at the Palace of Independence in Minsk. There, Kellogg and Lukashenko discussed the global situation, regional issues, and Belarusian-American relations.
“I am very glad, Mr. General, to meet with you. I really hope that our conversation will be very sincere, open. Otherwise, why meet? If we play tricks and trick each other, we will not achieve any results,” said Lukashenko.
In turn, Trump’s special representative thanked him for the hospitality.
“We live in a very dangerous time, when the crises we face could escalate dramatically, grow if we are not wise and just,” he added.
