Two children died in a gas explosion in a house in Mykolaiv region

In the Mykolaiv region, in the village of Bratske, two children died, probably due to a household gas explosion.

This was reported to the State Emergency Service.

Rescuers managed to get a boy born in 2017 out of the rubble of the house, and he was handed over to a team of doctors.

Further down, the SES employees unblocked two more girls born in 2014 and 2022, they were unconscious. Medics performed resuscitation measures, however, the children died.

It is noted that their mother was thrown into the yard by the blast wave. The woman was hospitalized. She is currently in the hospital with burns to her head and hands.

“Dear citizens! Regularly check gas equipment and ventilation ducts. Do not leave gas appliances turned on unattended and do not use gas stoves to heat the room. At the slightest suspicion of a gas leak, immediately close the valve, open the windows, do not turn on the lights or electrical appliances and call 104,” the rescuers urged.

Earlier, in the village of Sopachiv, Varasky district, Rivne region, a domestic gas cylinder exploded in a private residential building. As a result of the incident, two people were injured and hospitalized.
