Two cold nights ahead, followed by warming with precipitation

Frosty weather will persist in Ukraine in the coming days, but a gradual warming is expected after the weekend.

This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko .

According to her, there are “two cold nights” left in the near future – they fall on February 21 and 22.

Where will it be the coldest?

On the nights of February 21 and 22, temperatures in most regions will be -10 to -16 degrees Celsius. Milder weather is expected in the southern part of the country, and on February 22 as well in the west, with temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees below zero.

On Saturday, February 21st, lows of -2°C to -7°C are forecast. On Sunday, February 22nd, daytime temperatures will range from -3°C to -4°C. According to forecasters, “we’re already starting to see a hint of March.”

Will there be precipitation?

As Didenko noted, the anticyclone maintains mostly dry weather. However, localized exceptions are possible:

  • On Saturday in the south of Odessa region – wet snow and rain;

  • On Sunday in the western regions – mostly rain.

Further warming will be accompanied by precipitation and fog.

Weather in Kyiv

Kyiv is also expected to experience two more frosty nights.
On February 21st they predict:

  • at night about -15 degrees;

  • during the day – up to -5 degrees.

On February 22, the temperature will rise slightly:

  • at night – about -12 degrees;

  • during the day – up to -1 degree.

On Saturday, the capital will be sunny, and on Sunday there will be more cloudiness, but significant precipitation is not expected.

According to weather forecasters, more stable and warm weather will set in in Ukraine after the weekend.
