Two dozen “servants” and the OPZH went to the Recovery Conference in Rome, and Poroshenko was blocked from participating

Representatives of the Ukrainian People’s Party, as well as a large delegation of the Servants of the People, traveled to the Conference on the Restoration of Ukraine in Rome, but the authorities blocked the participation of the fifth president and current people’s deputy Petro Poroshenko, despite an official invitation from the speaker of the Italian parliament.

This was announced at a briefing by the co-chair of the faction, Iryna Gerashchenko.

“In two days, the fourth Recovery Conference will open in Rome, and unfortunately, the leadership of the parliament, apparently on the instructions of Bankova, blocked the trip to this important conference, despite the official invitation from the speaker of the Italian parliament, representatives of our faction. These are the leader of “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko and our colleague Viktoria Siumar. This is unacceptable selectivity. At a time when more than 20 “Servants” went to Rome, as well as representatives of the Ukrainian People’s Party. Representatives of the Ukrainian People’s Party have never had problems with graduation – this is very indicative,” Gerashchenko noted.

At the same time, she recalled that Poroshenko has already won the courts regarding the illegal ban on border crossings.

“Today, Poroshenko’s lawyers are filing a criminal complaint for violating the court’s decision not to allow a people’s deputy, who is supposed to represent the interests of the country, the interests of voters, and work professionally for the country, to an international event,” said the faction co-chair.

According to her, it is important for Eurosolidarity, voters, and all Ukrainians that foreign visits are productive.

“Go – show the result, report. This will be the fourth Conference on Recovery. The previous ones were held in Lugano, London, and Berlin. Representatives of our faction were also blocked there, although dozens of “Servants” and the OPZH also went,” Gerashchenko reminded.

She added that the “EU” has prepared requests for Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and the government demanding that they provide Ukrainian society with a full report on the implementation of all agreements from previous recovery conferences.

“By the way, the organizing committee of previous conferences included Shurma, then deputy head of the President’s Office, or Chernyshov, the current vice prime minister, who is now accused of corruption. And Shurma is generally hiding abroad somewhere from criminal cases. This gentleman has never had any problems not only with going abroad, but also with representing Ukraine,” Gerashchenko stated.

“The time for beautiful slides, which our government skillfully juggles, is over. Now is the time for professional action. Responsibility, professionalism, and openness of the authorities are critically lacking,” the deputy emphasized.
